"Let go."

Words to live by. As believers, this is one of the most difficult things to do. We are to let go of our desires, our troubles, our pains and give them over to God. Place them at the foot of His throne for His will to prevail; not ours.
Our past is littered with broken hearts, lost innocence and shattered dreams. Any attempt to impose our will to fix, heal or rectify these are nothing more than illusions. Lies we tell ourselves to convince our mind that we have control. The cold hard truth for unbelievers is the thought that we have NO control whatsoever.

So..... are we true believers when we get tricked by life circumstances that we have control of our destiny? On the contrary. I believe the enemy exploits this fault in our defenses to separate us from our Lord and Savior. It's our duty to struggle against these attacks and the best defense is having no offense....just let go. Coincidence that a character on a secular TV series says this in its final episode.....Who's name is Christian and Sheppard?...... I don't think so.

Lord, grant me the understanding of letting go. Be my strength and my protector and my counselor. Guide my path in Your will and in Your way. I want to let go. Provide me a means to do so and a peace about it. Without Your design, I am un-molded, formless clay bound to the earth. Release my will for Your perfect desires for my life. God, You are the great I AM. Abba to us all. Amen
