Fasting

We're told that the most difficult thing for man to control is his tounge. Man is weak, yet the fleshly desires are strong. The spirits dominion over the body is a constant struggle.
As a believer, my spirit is not my own. As Christ works within me, His Spirit is mine. Knowing this, why is it still so dificult to win the battle for control over my flesh? Sin is our nature and we will always fight the flesh.

I'm finishing the 3rd day of fasting. And up until now, I've had it easy. I feel great though. My senses are extremely sensative and there seems to be a spiritual experience underway - a peace knowing that the spirit CAN overcome the desires of the flesh.
